Hydrogen
Diverse supply offers for many industries and applications
The safe and reliable supply of industrial hydrogen is crucial for many industries. We supply industrial hydrogen in a range of volumes and purities to meet your unique needs.
Hydrogen for refining and large-scale chemical production
Industrial hydrogen is used for the desulphurisation of fuels, which prevents the formation of sulfur dioxide as the fuel is burned. Air Liquide understands the needs of today’s refineries and provides economical solutions for industrial gas and utility requirements.
As a full-capability over-the-fence hydrogen supplier, we customise our production and recovery solutions to match the volume, pressure and purity required for your operations.
We will evaluate the best means of industrial hydrogen supply and couple it with synthesis gas, cogeneration and steam supply as appropriate. To complete the offer, we provide solutions for carbon dioxide capture and recovery.
Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions designs and constructs large-scale Steam Methane Reformers for customers in the chemical and petrochemical industries. We are able to adapt to a wide range of plant sizes and feedstocks, including natural gas, refinery gases, naphtha, LPG or a mixture of two or more of these gases. In addition, Air Liquide’s portfolio of Lurgi technologies includes technologies for the production of hydrogen, such as auto-thermal, catalytic reforming and gasification.
Hydrogen, a clean energy carrier
Used in a fuel cell, industrial hydrogen combines with oxygen from the air to produce electricity, generating water as its only by-product. Air Liquide is present across the entire industrial hydrogen supply chain, from production to storage, distribution and the development of end-user applications – thus helping to drive the widespread use of hydrogen as a clean energy to power materials handling, consumer automobiles and mass transportation.
Our global hydrogen-fueled fleet services are helping move fleets across the globe toward a more efficient, profitable and environmentally responsible means of material handling. We distribute solutions both for the production of energy and for decentralised hydrogen distribution equipment.
